Blaine Connett: Television could be one influence, but it's not everything. I love Disney shows, but they're not good for 5-year-olds to watch. You need to wait until she's less impressionable. Also, you could always talk to her and explain that those shows aren't realistic (again, when she's old enough to understand). But those shows aren't all bad.
Ester Bryand: I think it certainly can. It depends on the girl's age. If she's 9-10, she's already started to develop her own personality, but she still could be swayed. If she's 5 or 6, it definitely can influence her.
Rivka Killmer: Television teaches people to act terrible, regardless of age or gender. Look at any reality show.
Caroyln Ebach: Of course, I knew this from a very early age and never let it impact me, that's basically the only reason my parents let me watch tv. You have to explain to kids that the shows teach rudeness and unfairness.
