Jude Kennelly: You could even mix the two have a ethonol electric, diesel electric and stuff like that.
Margart Stimpert: Definitely not !We will ever continue to rely mainly upon gasoline and diesel for transportation. We are HOOKED!Much has been said and written a bout a switch; however, technology to producethe vehicles and public willingness to change are just not in existencefor the new technology vehicle transportation means. The car dealers still market and sell the big gas/diesel vehicles.Just go to a street and count the vehicle types that go past and you willcome to believe my statement....Show more
Woodrow Neyman: What do you think is gasoline going to die hard or go out really slowly because most people own older cars?
Leif Andreason: With ethonol, and biodiesel, lpg, hydrogen, propane vehicals all being an option. Many current vehicals would run on half of these fuels with a different computer and injectors.
Carter Edstrom: Hopefully ele! ctric, because ethanol is a lie. At least you get efficiency in electric vehicles; alternative fuels are just as horrible (and often WORSE) for the environment and economy to process/purify than oil. So get your head out of the clouds, eco people.
Bianca Lannier: ethanol & biodiesel cannot supply the market, Propane/hydrogen can't either, and both are dangerous in crashes and with leaks. even all combined cannot meet demand. Electric cars are not practical-not enough range, worse at night and in bad weather. Poor torque and low power if designed for economy. VERY expensive and polluting battery lifecycle. batteries take TIME to charge, & generally require a 20% overcharge to bring them right up. no known existing or emerging practical alternative energy storage technology available other than petroleum products....Show more
Rosio Pasculli: We wont run out of oil any time soon, that i promise, and by the time we do, we will have made a way to mass produce s! ynthetic oil.
