Kassie Kay: with proper reciavers yes
Inge Mclaurine: I used to work at RadioShack, and we sold the Boston Acoustics HD Radio. As far as I know, the HD radios only slightly amplify your signal reception. For that you will need an amplified antenna, one that is powered by a transformer (electrical outlet). HD Radio is just a clearer signal, broadcasting on a sub-channel of each FM station. Its digital quality, which sounds alot clearer than regular FM radio. Again, this is all I know personally.
Mitzie Clough: You are asking about BETTER SIGNAL. Even regular radios can have a better signal. There are lots of factors to consider by "better signal" they are transmitter, receiver, locations, types and brands, transmitting power. But for sure HD radio has BETTER AUDIO QUALITY than regular radio. A station broadcasting in digital HD, heard in a digital HD radio receiver is ofcourse has clearer sound than those being heard from non-HD stations. But they have the same! factors affecting their signal strength and reception....Show more
Madge Voice: The effective Radiated ability (ERP) of an FM HD station is approximately a million/10 that of that is analog counterpart. it promises you extra suitable constancy till you get previous the factor of reception. Then it purely is going away. No sign. The analog FM promises you extra distance and could grant a extra suitable sign in a city because of the fact of sign bounce from homes, bridges, etc. The digital sign won't. as long as you're interior line of sight of the tower (antenna), the HD radio would be extra suitable... If not, then the analog FM would be a extra suitable guess. you're able to try a loop antenna on your place of work to strengthen the sign....Show more
