Do i really need a new car?

Bob Nakamoto: If the car you have now runs good, then that's all that matters. Don't waste your money on something you don't need yet. It sounds to me like the only reason you are even considering buying a new car is for reasons of status. If you feel that status is worth the extra costs then get the new car, otherwise save your money.

Troy Monsivais: No. You don't need to change your car just to have the latest model. Try taking the money you would have spent on monthly car payments and putting it in a separate savings account earmarked just for car repair and maintenance. Don't touch the money for anything else until your old car gets to the point where it absolutely needs to be replaced. I think you'll find there's money in your account for a healthy down payment, or maybe even enough for you to pay cash for that next new car...Show more

Gaylord Barragan: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." If you're content with the car you have, why change it?

Madlyn Fallis: If it gets the job done from point a to point b keep it

Son Ahlers: Most cars today with some care and maintenance have the abilityto exceed 250,000 miles and do an excellent job. There is no needto change cars, if it is a matter of image then only you can make that choice.
