Do i really need a new car?

It sounds to me like the only reason you are even considering buying a new car is for reasons of status. If you feel that status is worth the extra costs then get the new car, otherwise save your money.

Try taking the money you would have spent on monthly car payments and putting it in a separate savings account earmarked just for car repair and maintenance. Don't touch the money for anything else until your old car gets to the point where it absolutely needs to be replaced.
