Can anyone tell me how I can 'copyright' my quotations? Step by step!?

Von Houskeeper: You're an idiot. You can quote me on that

Tricia Dossous: Text can be copyrighted, but names and short phrases cannot. In that respect, if your "quotations" are simply one- or two-sentence phrases, they cannot be copyrighted. If your "quotations" are taken from some of your longer writings -- an essay or short story, perhaps -- you can copyright that entire longer writing.Simply register with the US Copyright Office, if you determine that you work can be copyrighted. Good luck!...Show more
