At what age can you legally have a land line phone in your name?

Tommy Durrenberger: you can not work for the telephone company until you are 21 years old because of insurance requirements... but you can get a phone turned on in your name when you are 18..

Moises Rupinski: Call your local provider (att or whoever). It's usually 18.

Ardath Templer: Some people put the phone in their dog or cat's name :-)They may; require a deposit, but that and the prompt payment of your bill will give you phone service and it's a good way to help establish credit.
