Anibal Katayama: This would be Wilson's disease, which is a genetic disorder resulting in excessive Copper levels. Wilson's disease is associated unsteady gait, falls, rigidity and a Parkinson's like tremor in at least 35% of people with it. Wilson's disease is also associated with the development of liver abnormalities including eventual liver failure or cirrhosis. Alcoholism can be associated with an abnormal gait (ataxia), falls and liver issues also, but I do not think this is what you are asking about....Show more
Gwenda Micheals: When someone has Cirrhosis of the liver, they candevelop a condition that is known as Encephalopathy.This condition is where ammonia goes into the brainand effects the mental reasoning of the patient.They become easily confused and disoriented, have sleep pattern changes and also hand tremors.They can become very weak from being so tired and, if not treated by medications, can go into a coma.Cirr! hosis is death of the liver cells and scar tissueformation inside the liver. Some of the causesof liver cell damage that leads to cirrhosis couldbe the problem: alcohol consumption, medicationstoxification, chemical exposure, metabolic problemsmushroom poisoning, auto immune disease, heart/vascular problems....and there are others.
