How do you take care of the environment?

Will Camus: I probably don't do the best of my ability but I recycle plastic,tin,aluminum,cardboard,glass, and paper. I also turn all the lights off if I am not using them, take short showers, do full loads of laundry, only run water when needed (as in I don't keep it on while brushing my teeth.) I don't let my car idle for too long. (If I am waiting for somebody at the store or picking somebody up then I turn the car off while waiting for them.) Dale Mccoun: The best thing I do is leave a large portion of my land alone. I use 1/2 acre for my driveway, house and yard. I leave the other 4 1/2 acres in it's natural state and undisturbed. It is home to a ravens nest in one of the tallest trees on my property. Moose spend the winter in back with their young and eat the willows and birch trees. The moose leave in the summer and other small animals enjoy the ! area around my home like foxes, porcupines, squirrels, birds, ducks and geese, an occasional wolf and black bears during the summer. I also take care of the environment by using reuse able shopping bags, driving a small fuel efficient car, using energy efficient lighting, not using my furnace as much as I want to, taking short showers, and many other little things that add up over time....Show more

Irvin Guiles: I recycle everything that can be recycled. Especially bottles and cans! Get that cash, lol. I also take shorter showers. I have CFL lightbulbs all around my house. I keep lights turned off when I am not in a certain room. I water my grandmother's plants every other day. I use rechargable batteries.

Nedra Oltz: - I have all CFL's in my apartment- I hand wash all my dishes- I recycle, reuse, restore, and retrofit- I take sea showers that last less than five minutes- I get my car tuned up regularly.- I walk to the local convenient store rather than drive.- I ride the bus to school and to work.- I fill my tires up with air weekly- I have a brick in the tank of my toilet and only flush when I take a dump.- I open the windows as much as possible and use the AC less.- I place caulking around my windows for extra insulation.- I unplug all my appliances when they aren't being used to save energy....Show more
