why is higher education is important for our career development?

Luther Plagmann: Higher education is important for two reasons. First, depending on what you want to do for a career, you might need knowledge to do your job. You can't be an engineer without some higher education.Second, in college you learn whole new ways of thinking. Employers like to hire people who have gone to college because they can think in more sophisticated ways.

Carlton Lastrapes: I don't think it is important.I haven`t got degrees in anything, but have more than enougth knowledge, most of which I have learned through reading books, or surfing the net.
